Hyoseok Hugh Kwon, LPC
I am a licensed therapist, fluent in English and Korean, with more than 15 years of counseling experience in the United States and Korea. I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group settings. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can reflect, process, and move toward deeper emotional awareness and personal growth.
I see therapy as a shared process of understanding your emotions, needs, and relationship patterns. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I also emphasize emotional awareness, experiential work, and relational healing. Together, we explore recurring emotional and interpersonal patterns - such as shame, perfectionism, and difficulty expressing needs - to help you experience greater authenticity and deeper connection in your daily life.
Inattention and impulsivity, anxiety and depression, obsession and compulsion, relationship issues, trauma, and adjustment difficulties
