About Me

I am a certified counselor in Korea, specializing in various concerns such as relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transition, acculturative stress, and traumatic experiences. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and provide services in both English and Korean.

Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

I help clients to be able to freely share their struggles in a warm and supportive environment. I believe that each client has their own unique potential. I will be there together with my clients not only to solve their current problems but also to help them live up to their potential and live fruitful, rewarding lives.

My approach to clinical work is integrative and primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and acceptance-based approaches. I provide short and long-term therapy, depending on the client’s needs and goals. I help clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns and examine them against a more balanced view in the light of reality and within their network of relationships. In this process, I assist clients to explore their concerns in the context of their family units as changes in behavior by one family member have an influence on the way the family functions over time. I also help clients with self-acceptance and gaining a better understanding of others which leads to more mature relationships. I hope to stand by my clients’ sides and see the transformation in their lives.
